EWTN Divine Mercy Cenacle Program Continues

EWTN debuted the new 13-week teaching program, Cenacle of The Divine Mercy, based on the the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and St. Faustina's Diary.

Filmed at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA, the program is hosted by Fr. Joseph Roesch, MIC, and Dr. Bryan Thatcher, MD, Director of Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy (EADM).

The Cenacle or the Upper Room was the place where Jesus, on the night before He died, gathered with His Disciples to celebrate the Passover meal. This new cenacle program is based on EADM's popular Divine Mercy formation program. With hundreds of cenacles worldwide, EADM provides support for members who meet regularly as a small Christian community for song, prayer, and discussion on Scripture and the writings of St. Faustina.

Created exclusively for EWTN, topics for each thirty-minute show include "What is Divine Mercy?," "St. Faustina," "The Divine Mercy Image," "Sacrament of Reconciliation," "Eucharist," "The Divine Mercy Chaplet," "John Paul II, the Great Mercy Pope," "Mary, the Mother of Mercy," "Trust," "Mercy," "Forgiveness," "Suffering," and "Works of Mercy."

"The Cenacle program," says host, Fr. Roesch, MIC, "is a great opportunity to teach and share this great message of God's Mercy. It is our hope that people grow in their understanding and appreciation of God's great mercy."

Publishers of the Diary of St. Faustina and The Divine Message and Devotion, the Marians of the Immaculate Conception have been spreading the message of Divine Mercy throughout the world from its headquarters in Stockbridge since 1941. Stockbridge is also home to the the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, the spiritual home of the Marians Congregation.

The Marians of the Immaculate Conception are a congregation of about 600 priests and brothers in 17 countries around the world. In addition to being the custodians of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, the Congregation operates the publishing apostolate Marian Press, which publishes the Diary and magazines Marian Helper, Fuente de Misercordia, and Roze Maryi.

The Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy (EADM) is a lay outreach ministry of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception. The mission of Eucharistic Apostles is to spread the message of mercy to a hurting world, primarily through cenacle prayer groups.
