EDITOR'S NOTE: Dave and Joan Maroney, the husband-and-wife team better know as Mother of Mercy Messengers (MOMM), an apostolate of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, are back home in Texas doing a little administrative housekeeping and preparing their spring tour. The Maroneys, who travel the country to spread the message of The Divine Mercy, send us the following the dispatch:

Last fall we had a tire blow out a few days after we began our trek east for our Mother of Mercy Messengers (MOMM) tour.

Dave mentioned to me that we were going to need all new tires on our RV and trailer by the time we returned home. Six new ones on the RV, four on the trailer — to the tune of about $1,000.

Not in our budget.

So at presentations we would mention that the love offering helps keep us on the road, literally. And I would explain our dire tire situation. More than once we got a check to cover the cost of a tire, or part of one. People were great.

A little — I mean little — old lady in the Bronx, N.Y., came to us with a check for $300. She said she would pray that someone would come along and help us out. We could use the money on the tires or on food, or whatever we needed. We were humbled to say the least.

Then we headed to Corpus Christi Parish in Port Chester, N.Y. Just as we began, a gentlemen and his four teenage children filed into the front row.

I had barely had a chance to mention the need for tires, but I managed to mention it toward the end of our presentation. When the presentation was over, the gentleman, Ralph DiDonato, approached me and said he couldn't believe what I had said.

He and his brother own a bus company, and if we could come in the next day, he would get us all rigged up — for free.

We did have the next day, Friday, "free," and miraculously he had the tires we needed. Ralph not only installed the new tires, he replaced our alternate battery, and gave us a brake job, and had our oil changed. He also noticed our cracked windshield, and had that replaced, too. We figured it was in the ballpark of $3,000 worth of work. When He reigns it pours!

So, it looks like the Lord wants MOMM to stay on the road another who-knows-how-many miles.

We want to thank the DiDonato family and all who helped us financially and/or through prayers.

Without this support we couldn't do what we do. God bless them all and all who have ever helped us along the way.

We pray for them all daily.

What a joy and blessing it was to meet and spend a little time with Mr. DiDonato as he shared with us a little about his spiritual journey. The MOMM apostolate relies on the goodness of others and God certainly blesses us with people like Ralph. Ralph we continue to pray for you and your family.

Praise be Divine Mercy! This is exactly what Divine Mercy is about, TRUST. I believe it falls under what Jesus said to Saint Faustina, "My daughter, do whatever is within your power to spread devotion to My mercy. I will make up for what you lack." Dave and Joan, you go, you need tires and here you go...tires. But not just tires because He always gives us more. Awesome is to those that "Trust" in Jesus.

That is sooooo AWESOME..

I suggest every parish have Dave and Joan come to their parish and give their presentation. Jesus said "I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already ablaze." These people are on FIRE for the Lord!

That is awesome! Good things happen in N.Y.! ;-) I will pray for the DiDonato family and for Joan and Dave that God would pour out His blessings! Joan and Dave do a tremendous job sharing the truth about God's great love and mercy.

God is great! It was no coincidence; God placed your needs on Ralph's heart and he was faithful in his response. May God bless the DiDonato family for their generosity. And may God send other earthly angels your way.
