Shrine pilgrims join in the Rosary procession on Eden Hill.
'We Tasted a Little Corner of Heaven.'
The following testimony is from a member of Friends of Mercy, a partnership with the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception whose mission it is to live The Divine Mercy message and to share it with others.
By Consuelo Lopez
My friends and I visited the Marian Helpers Center on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, Mass., during a visit to the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. We experienced so much kindness during our stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful wooded acres of the grounds. It is a peaceful environment, and I returned home much renewed and refreshed in body and spirit.
We all enjoyed our stay at the Pope John Paul II Guest House. Even the rain looked better on Eden Hill than in other places! From praying in the National Shrine, to visiting the work done at the Marian Helpers Center, to taking nature walks on the many paths to the outdoor shrines, I think we tasted a little corner of heaven.
As a Friend of Mercy, I love the newsletter. Sometimes I get ideas from the stories that I use when I talk to the patients during my visits to hospitals. I also bring Divine Mercy prayercards when I visit the sick. They provide so much comfort and relief. I enjoy reading about Divine Mercy, particularly about what others do — and what we can do — to strengthen our devotion to the message.
God bless you all.
