We kick off Lent with a homily from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

The Very Rev. Fr. Kazimierz Chwalek, MIC, the provincial superior of the Marians in the United States and Argentina, offers tips on how to get off the path of self-destruction. Lent, says Fr. Kaz, is a time to cleanse and strengthen ourselves.

"The world needs us," he says.
