By Sarah Chichester (Dec 15, 2010)
O Holy Trinity, Eternal God, I want to shine in the crown of Your mercy as a tiny gem whose beauty depends on the ray of Your light and of Your inscrutable mercy. All that is beautiful in my soul is Yours, O God; of myself, I am ever nothing.
Diary of St. Faustina, 617

Who needs a Messiah? Who needs a Savior? You and I. And Advent gives voice to our need, to our cry for a Messiah, to our hope in a Savior.

Very often we search for the remedy to our heartache in things, in a new dress or a faster computer. We dull our sense of "something missing" in our lives by reclining in the comfort of our armchairs as we flick through television stations. We hide our neediness in perfectly wrapped presents or brightly lit Christmas lights. But the ache persists, even if we've shoved it into the background.

Jesus is the true remedy to our longing, He is the Divine Physician who alone heals our great wound — our need for God. And He's coming to heal us this Christmas.

Dear God, this advent please allow me to create in my mind a vision of you talking to Sis. Faustina by creating that image in my head reminds me that ur messages through her is your messages for us to who are longing to hear your love and guidedance. This season please remind me of ur humility and let me deny myself of too much material things but to be sincere in my desire to hear your voice that will huide me a holy path to your glory. This I ask to u O Lord, through the poweful intercession of Mama Mary, Sis. Faustina and all the Angels and Saints. Amen.
