Thousands of Cenacles, and Counting

Around the world, people are talking about Divine Mercy now more than ever. And more than ever, they are making Divine Mercy a part of their lives. A big reason for this is due to the growth of Divine Mercy cenacles.

What is a Divine Mercy Cenacle? It is a group of people who meets weekly for song, prayer, and discussion on Scripture and the writings of St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, known as the apostle of Divine Mercy. The revelations given to St. Faustina are excellent for spiritual growth and give a deeper understanding of our merciful Lord.

Divine Mercy, the Eucharist, and the Mother of Mercy Shrine

I had a recent discussion with Marie Romagnano, R.N., of Healthcare Professionals for Divine Mercy, and she mentioned how glad she was that the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine is being built at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Mass. She said that we need a place "to safely protect the Eucharist" during Divine Mercy Sunday celebrations and other activities.

Sin as a Computer Virus

I want to share with you some thoughts on something similar to a spiritual computer virus - SIN! In the last six months my computer has gone on the blink twice. I lost everything on the hard drive, and both times it was the result of a computer virus. Thankfully, I had saved everything on separate disks or I would have lost everything. For those of you who don't know a lot about computers, a virus is a program or set of instructions that a programmer sends out to other computers.

The Joy of Being Catholic

I want to share with you some thoughts on the joy of being Catholic. To those who are hurting spiritually, emotionally, and physically, Jesus said "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Mt 11:28).

The 'How to Be' Attitudes

By Dr. Bryan Thatcher

I want to share some thoughts with you on the Beatitudes, or the attitudes that we are to have in our daily lives. The "How to Be" Attitudes give us a roadmap for sanctity and deal a lot with compassion and courage. They speak about virtues needed as we traverse the earth. And they speak about action - being merciful and showing compassion.

We know what James wrote in Chapter 2:17: "faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead." We are to live the Beatitudes in our daily lives!
