To receive God's mercy, we need to completely trust in Jesus, the Person. But how do we do that when we feel like God has let us down or when we're experiencing difficulty?

In this video, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, director of the Association of Marian Helpers, reminds us that feelings aren't the ultimate barometer of reality. He encourages us to have hope that when we make acts of trust in the Lord — whether we feel like we trust him or not — He will lead us according to His plan, which will ultimately fulfill the desires of our hearts.

go priests! :) you're awesome men of God! - May 23, 2019

You made the most wonderful choice in becoming a priest. Think of how much you're able to make a difference in so many ways through your ministry that you wouldn't get to if you weren't a priest. And think of all the disappointment you would experience if you had gotten married and didn't get to follow the calling of the priesthood. So many marriages today aren't working out well, and it makes it harder to follow the Church's teachings because things come into direct conflict with serious moral issues -- I mean think of all the confessions you must hear from married people -- consider all that stuff you don't have to deal with! :D I bet a lot of married guys (who got separated/ divorced and aren't with their wife now anyway) wish they had just completely followed Jesus and left women behind... like the first apostles! You made the very best choice. :)
