The Seven Aspects to The Divine Mercy Devotion

Since participating in our "Catch the Wave of Mercy" retreat held at Corpus Christi Cathedral on April 9-10, 2010, we've gotten many requests from people for a copy of the talk given by Fr. Zachary of the Mother of God, SOLT. The retreat was presented by the Diocese of Corpus Christi (Texas) Department of Evangelization in conjunction with Mother of Mercy Messengers (MOMM), an apostolate of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception.

The following is the text of Fr. Zachary's talk, courtesy of Geraldine Mcgloin.

On the Road with MOMM: 'Never Give Up on Anyone'

Since January 2001, Dave and Joan Maroney, known as Mother of Mercy Messengers (MOMM), an apostolate of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, have traveled more than 250,000 miles to give their multimedia presentations that go to the heart of The Divine Mercy message.

Where are they these days? Who have they met? Here's the first in a series of dispatches from the road, where MOMM visits a jail and reports on the transformation of a former inmate:

Hello everyone!

MOMM to Highlight St. Faustina Day, Oct. 4, at Shrine

On April 30, in the Great Jubilee Year of 2000, Pope John Paul II canonized St. Maria Faustina Kowalska as the first saint of the 21st century. Each year, the National Shrine observes her feast day, honoring the nun selected by Jesus to be His secretary in recording His revelations about Divine Mercy, which are found in her Diary.

This year, because Oct. 5 falls on a Sunday, the Shrine will celebrate the feast a day earlier, on Saturday, Oct. 4.

Events begin at 11 a.m.
