Father Founder Outstanding for Marian Devotion, Charity, Miracles

With the canonization of Marian founder Blessed Stanislaus Papczynski taking place this Sunday (June 5), it's worth looking at his life and legacy to discern what lessons we should learn from him and how his charity continues to the present day. We need to remember three things in particular: He loved Our Lady; he lived a life of charity; and he is associated with miracles, performed not only during his lifetime, but continuing today!

The Pilgrimage Begins

June 1, 2016 - Marian priests, brothers, and seminarians began arriving in Rome from around the world on June 1, for the canonization of the Marians' Founder, Blessed Stanislaus Papczynski, which will take place on June 5, at the Vatican.

Father Kaz Chawlek, MIC, the Marians' provincial superior based in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, welcomes the many pilgrims with an opening Mass at Church Village, where many of the Marians are staying.

June 1 is the feast of St. Justin, also known as Justin the Martyr (100–165).
