Who Was Blessed Stanislaus Papczynski?

On May 18, we celebrate for the last time the feast day of Blessed Stanislaus Papczynski, the Founder of the Marian Fathers. That's because on June 5 he will become Saint Stanislaus Papczynski.

Watch the feast day homily given by the Very Rev. Fr. Kazimierz Chwalek, MIC, the Marians' provincial superior. His homily was delivered during the 7:15 a.m. Mass at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

USA, Stockbridge, Mass: Br. Frederick Wells, MIC, passed away

On September 9, 2015 (Memorial of St. Peter Claver) at the Marian Fathers' residence in Stockbridge, MA, weakened by an advanced age, Bro. Charles Frederick Wells, Jr., MIC, passed away at the age of 88. Fortified by the Sacraments of the Church and surrounded by the prayers and care of his confreres and hospice nurses, Bro. Fred peacefully breathed his last and entered the Father's house. A veteran of the concluding days of WWII, Bro. Fred left his family in Richmond, VA, and entered the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception in 1955.

Perpetually Professed!

"There is no solitary or independent mission," the Very Rev. Fr. Kazimierz Chwalek, MIC, told Br. Joe Lappe, MIC. "This is Christ's mission, and he sends you into the world as a sign that the Father's love is real."

Thirteen Vows, One Mission

As "Hail Holy Queen" resounded in the golden rafters of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, the Marian Fathers welcomed three new members to their Congregation on Saturday. Three men professed their first vows with the Marians: Fr. Michael Ishida, MIC, from the Diocese of Spokane; Fr. David Gunter, MIC, from the Archdiocese in Boston; and Ruben Veloz of California.
