'You Are A Priest Forever'

It was a really big day, eh!

Deacon Jonathan Inskip, MIC, became Fr. Jonathan Inskip, MIC, on May 16, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Kamloops, British Columbia (BC), Canada, surrounded by many of his family, friends, brother Marians, and a number of Marian Helpers. The Most Rev. David J. Monroe, bishop of the Kamloops diocese, ordained Fr. Jonathan.

Here's a look:

'No Limit to God's Mercy'

Coming from at least nine different states and two Canadian provinces, upwards of 15,000 pilgrims were welcomed on April 12, Divine Mercy Sunday, to the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The Archbishop of New York, His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, was lead celebrant of the day's Holy Mass, which was broadcast around the world on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).

"We know there is no limit to God's mercy," said Cardinal Dolan in his homily for the Mass. "It is the most powerful force in the universe.

Ordained, in Jesus' Name

He recalled playing at being a deacon as a child. On Saturday, he became the real deal.

Brother Allen Alexander, MIC, was ordained to the transitional diaconate on Saturday, Jan. 3, the feast of the Holy Name of Jesus and the vigil of the Epiphany, by the Most Rev. Mitchell Rozanski, bishop of the Springfield Diocese, at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

God willing, Deacon Allen will be ordained to sacred priesthood later this year.
