World Youth Day 2016 continues in Krakow, Poland, and runs through Sunday, July 31. We're providing daily coverage all week long..

It was 86 degrees yesterday in Krakow, and some people suffered from exhaustion and dehydration. Plenty of water was available, and we continued to drink it all day. The Holy Father arrived at Campus Misericordiae at 9 a.m. to the sound of 1.5 million young people singing in Polish, "We love you Papa!"

Pope Francis visited the tomb of St. Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938) today at the International Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki, Poland, in the course of the 2016 World Youth Day (WYD) in Krakow, held during the extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Here's a round-up of a powerful day, where the Holy Father visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps and then the Children's University Hospital in Krakow. World Youth Day 2016 continues in Krakow, Poland, and runs through Sunday, July 31. Our Editorial Department staffer Melanie Williams is providing daily coverage all week long.

This morning, Filipino Cardinal Luis Antonio Gokim Tagle addressed 18,000 young people in the Mercy Centre at Tauron Arena in Krakow yesterday at the Knights of Columbus School of Mercy for English-speaking pilgrims.

He said, "Let us allow ourselves to be touched by Mercy."
