Join Us in a 54-Day Novena for Our Nation

Are you worried about the state of our nation and the world? Are you wondering what you can do to help?

Well, then follow Our Lady's request and pray the Rosary daily.

The Marian Fathers are joining in prayer with our friends of faith around the United States in praying a 54-Day Novena for Our Nation between Aug. 15 (the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary) and Oct. 7 (the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary).

Please pray the Rosary with us daily, beginning at 5 p.m. (EST) from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. In these times of turmoil and confusion, may our intention be for God's protection of the United States.

You can pray with us daily here [updated at 5 p.m. EST]:

The Rosary, considered a synthesis or compendium of the Gospel, is a powerful means by which we can unite ourselves in prayer with the life of Jesus Christ and thereby faithfully and conscientiously follow the path that God offers to all who seek Him with a sincere heart. At Fatima, Our Lady encouraged the child visionaries to pray the Rosary daily for peace.

The Church teaches: "Let all faithful Christians offer urgent prayers to the Mother of God and Mother of men in order that she may intercede with her son in the communion of all the Saints, until the whole family of nations — whether they bear the honored name of Christian or still do not know their Savior — may be joyfully assembled into a single People of God, in peace and harmony, to the glory of the most holy and undivided Trinity." (Lumen Gentium, 69)

As we join in prayer these 54 days, let’s do so recalling the words of St. Louis de Montfort who said:

When people say the Rosary together, it is far more formidable to the devil, than one said privately. Because in this public prayer, it is an army that is attacking him. He can often overcome the prayer of an individual, but if this prayer is joined to other Christians, the devil has much more trouble in getting the best of it.

NOTE: The tradition of the 54-day novena predates the establishment by St. Pope John Paul II of the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary. But as we pray the novena, we Marian Fathers will include the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous Mysteries. If you wish to follow the traditional 54-day novena, we invite you to visit DivineMercyForAmerica.org adminsitered by our friends Dave and Joan Maroney of Mother of Mercy Messengers.

Mary, Queen of Peace, to pray for us!
