Brilliant Ideas from HAPP Leaders!

Our Hearts Afire leaders are SOOOO clever! Check out what Jackie Dombrowski at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Gary, Ind., did to assign her small groups.

She dedicated each table to a different title of Our Lady. Much to Jackie's surprise (Mary loves to surprise us), the priests and deacons realized they had the Mystical Rose table. When Mary appeared as the Rosa Mystica, she called on all priests and religious to have a special devotion to her.

To Mary are attributed the words of the Canticle: "I am the flower of the field" (Song of Songs 2:1). Mary is in truth a spiritual mystic rose and often looked to as the Mother of ALL priests!

A beautiful verse to ponder today: The prophet Isaiah, in speaking of the spiritual kingdom of Christ, says, "There shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse, and a flower shall rise out of his root" (Isaiah 11:1).
