STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS — More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the annual Divine Mercy Sunday Weekend festivities on April 26-27 at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, the home of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. This annual event is hosted by the Marian Fathers, who have promoted the Divine Mercy message and devotion since 1941.

The principal celebrant for the Sunday 1 p.m. ET Liturgy will be the Very Rev. Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, the vicar provincial and vocation director for the Mother of Mercy Province of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. Father Calloway is the author of 20 books, including the worldwide bestseller, Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father (Marian Press, 2020). He has two new books published by Marian Press this year: Passion Gems: Daily Wisdom on the Suffering, Cross, and Death of Jesus and (forthcoming, with Patrick O'Hearn) The Virtues of the Saints: 15 Healthy Habits for Chiildren.

The Mass will be celebrated at the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine and livestreamed on Facebook and and on the Marian Fathers' dedicated streaming site, DivineMercyPlus.org.

Extraordinary Graces
Extraordinary graces are available to the faithful on Divine Mercy Sunday. In three places in her Diary, St. Faustina records our Lord's promises of specific, extraordinary graces:

I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy (1109).

Whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (300).

The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (699).

Live on EWTN on Divine Mercy Sunday
A live international broadcast of the Marian Fathers’ solemn celebration of Divine Mercy will air on the EWTN Global Catholic Network beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 7, with a one-hour program preceding the celebration hosted by Fr. Joseph Roesch, MIC, and Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, at 12 Noon ET.

The theme for this year's Divine Mercy Pre-Show at 12 Noon ET is "Visions of Hope," fitting for this Jubilee Year of Hope, with a focus on bringing hope and God's loving mercy to the poor, marginalized, and the unborn. The live broadcast will include special guests:

  • Sister Deirdre "Dede" Byrne, POSC  is an active missionary sister and superior of her community, the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts, in Washington, D.C. She is double board-certified in family medicine and general surgery. She retired with the rank of Colonel from the United States Army in 2009 after 29 years of service in the military. Dubbed “the Mother Teresa of D.C.,” Sr. Dede continues to provide medical care to the marginalized from her convent basement clinic and administer the abortion pill reversal procedure that has resulted in the delivery of more than a dozen healthy babies. At home and abroad, she spreads her message of love and her exhortations for remaining in the state of grace so that we might all attain our eternal end — eternity with God in Heaven.

  • Nermine Khouzem Rubin.  As Founder and CEO of Water 4 Mercy, Nermine is providing remote African villages with sustainable water and farming solutions to restore human dignity and permanently end the water and poverty crisis. She was inspired to start Water 4 Mercy after witnessing the dire conditions and scarcity of water when visiting Tanzania in 2017 with her daughter Samantha. To date, Water 4 Mercy has launched 21 projects impacting 67,000 lives. Nermine is the Vice President of Business Development at TTS Thermal Cycling and has held leadership positions in the healthcare and information systems industries throughout the United States.

  • Bryan Thatcher, MD. As founder of Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy (EADM), an apostolate of the Marian Fathers, Dr. Thatcher has encouraged spiritual formation for the laity and works of mercy in parishes around the world. EADM offers seminars and a guided study program for prayer communities that includes the study of Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and St. Faustina’s Diary. The apostolate promotes Eucharistic Adoration, together with hourly praying of The Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and dying. EADM also provides many other works of mercy, including shipments of medical and educational materials to the poor worldwide, and prison ministries. EADM's newest project is to assist in the expansion of Mother of Divine Mercy Village in the Philippines. To date more than 550 homes have been built and given to destitute families (displaced by typhoons), along with support services like a Day Care Center, Health Center, staff housing, and a multi-purpose building for gatherings.

Tent City
Throughout the weekend, the 350-acre Shrine grounds are transformed into a small tent city, providing opportunities for Confessions, Eucharistic Adoration, praying the Rosary, and perusing the Divine Mercy Gift Shop. Both the Vigil Mass at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, and the Sunday Liturgy at 1 p.m. on April 27 will be celebrated on Eden Hill at the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine.

Translators will be on hand to provide assistance to visitors in Spanish, Polish, Italian, French, German, and Tagalog. In all, approximately 300 volunteers will assist with a myriad of responsibilities.

One of the highlights of the weekend will be the prayer banner composed of thousands of pieces of cloth with prayer intentions for Divine Mercy Sunday sent in from across the United States and Canada.

All are welcome to experience Divine Mercy Weekend 2025!
Bus registration has closed, but private vehicles are welcome with no registration required.
